Bandline is an offline radio-signal reference and measurement tool. It listens to the demodulated audio coming out of your receiver, measures it (occupied bandwidth, frame period, tone structure, duty cycle), and narrows a database of known signals down to the ones that match. It does not receive radio itself — it works alongside your existing SDR, scanner or transceiver.

No. Audio is analysed on your device, in memory, to measure the signal. Nothing is written to storage, transmitted, or uploaded, and there is no server for it to go to. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail.
No. Bandline identifies signal types from measured properties of audio — it does not decode, transcribe, or interpret the content of any transmission, and it provides no way to access the content of protected or non-public communications. It also does not receive radio signals itself; you need your own receiver (SDR, scanner, or transceiver) feeding it audio.
The microphone is the only permission Bandline requests. It is used to listen to the audio output of your receiver so the app can measure it. The microphone only runs while you are actively on the Analyse screen or the Field Harness it links to, and it stops immediately when you leave those screens, switch apps, or press Stop.
Yes. The frequency database, signal reference and all analysis ship inside the app and run entirely offline. The only network request the app ever makes is a check for its own software updates.
Some signal entries have not yet been verified against protocol documentation. Bandline marks those with an amber badge rather than presenting them as confirmed. This badge is never hidden.
Email marketing@m-agi-c.com with as much detail as you can: your device and OS version, the app version (shown in Settings), and what you expected versus what happened. If it relates to a specific measurement, the Field Harness capture (Settings → Field Harness) is the most useful thing you can attach.
Bandline stores everything locally on your device — there is no account and no server-side data. Uninstalling the app removes everything it stored. If you previously shared a field capture with us directly, email the address above and we will delete that copy.
